Our Imaging and Radiology Technology
Digital Mammography
Used to detect breast cancer early, an annual screening mammogram is recommended for women 40 and up. No prescription or doctor’s referral is needed for a screening mammogram in women 40 and older. Mammograms are available seven days a week. Most appointments can be scheduled for the next day and take 30 minutes or less.
Lung Cancer Screening
Now available at Morrow County Hospital. Our lung cancer screening program uses a low-dose chest CT scan to detect lung cancer at its earliest stages. Lung cancer is still the leading cause of cancer death in both men and women. The best chance of a cure is early detection. The screening program includes:
- Low-dose CT scan
- Multidisciplinary team approach
- Nurse navigator
We recommend these criteria for lung cancer screening with low dose chest CT:
- Patients should be 55–80 years of age with at least 30 pack years of smoking
- If patients have quit smoking, it should be within the past 15 years
- Patients should have no signs or symptoms of lung cancer
Other tests and procedures available:
- Bone density (DEXA-scan)
- C-arm
- CT (low-dose radiation)
- ECHO cardiograms
- Fluoroscopy, GI exams, speech therapy, swallow exams
- Mobile MRI
- Nuclear cardiology
- Nuclear medicine
- PET/CT
- Ultrasound, general/vascular
- Vascular imaging and testing
